About Huntington Lake-Kaiser Pass:
This is an immense area that has bouldering, sport, and trad climbs galore. The area is largely undeveloped. There is bouldering right around Huntington Lake, especially upstream from the inlet. If you continue over Kaiser Pass from Huntington Lake, a "boulder garden" goes for miles along the roads to Florence Lake and Thomas Edison Lake. There are trad possibilities in the Kaiser Peaks area on the ridge above Huntington Lake. The weather is usually great, even in winter and south facing cliffs and boulders are definitely climable then. |
