About Boulder Canyon:

Boulder Canyon is a large area along the highway to Nederland that is covered with small crags. Some, like Castle Rock and Cob Rock, have classic multipitch lines. Others, like the Animal World Crags, have short desperate sport routes. With a smaterring of aid routes, boulder problems, and ice routes, Boulder Canyon has something for everyone.

Boulder Canyon unfortunately has also suffered a great deal of hold chipping and grid bolting at some of the newer sport areas. The rock is good enough on its own - don't chip, and use judgement about limiting bolts to a sane number.

Directions: From Boulder, head west on Canyon towards Nederland. You will see quality crags for the next 15 miles or so - be careful to keep your eyes on the road!
