About Woody Gap:
| Located on the Applachian trail (near blood mountain boulders) where it meets with Hwy 60. There is a handful of boulders within view along both the northern and southern sides of the trail. Alot of the boulders need to be cleaned and even two days after a heavy rain some of them will still be weeping. |

| Directions: | Take Hwy 60 (north from Dahlonega south from Suches) to the Woody Gap Lookout. You will see signs for the AT. Park and follow the northern side within spitting distance of the parking lot there is a small campsite with a 10-15 foot wall to the right of the start of the trail. Continue about a mile towards Blood Mountain and you will see (at last count on Feb 24 2007) 12 stand alone boulders and 2 slabs. |
