Big Dry Gulch
About Big Dry Gulch:
Can't miss it there's a sign that says Big Dry Gulch; there is over five separate walls in the Gulch. Most of the routes are on the south side (north facing) very nice climbing. |
Approach: | From the Allison Creek trail, walk right (south) along the road. The rough 'animal trail' is about 50ft above the gulch on the right (south) side. DO NOT HIKE IN THE GULCH--it's full of poison ivy. This trail goes directly to the War and Peace Cave (visible from the road on the south side of the gulch). Follow the War and Peace Cave, follow prominent 'animal trails' and/or cliff edges up steep terrain to about 5 other bolted cliff faces. |
Approach Time: | 10 minutes to War and Peace Cave, 30 minutes to climbs at top of Big Dry Gulch |
