Description:

Left of Fancy Lads, and right of Monarch, on the main cliffline, face climb up to the undercut typical southern Illinois bulge. A couple of bolts lead up to the bulge, then plan on placing gear (lots of placements available) to protect the next couple of body-length sections, up to the next bolt. Above the bulge, the route is a high-angle slab, following a gulley to the anchors.

3 out of 5 stars ascent note

hard bouldery move at beginning to easy slab topout. I didn't take any gear with me and kind of regretted it when i ended up pulling a couple moves with groundfall potential. There might as well be another bolt in that section because this route really is a sport route with one gear placement.

5 out of 5 stars A must climb.

One of my favorite climbs at Drapers. Watch out for the cheese grater crux. I highly suggest topping this one out to sit on the cliff and enjoy the view.

3 out of 5 stars ugly start, but fun mixed climbing above

Best to have tricams and cams to protect the trad section
