About Kenduskeag Ice Falls:
This is just a little ice crag, just outside of Bangor. There are usually 3 pillars touching down when it's in full swing and is about 30 feet high. It's easy to hike up as setup TR's, so it's usually not lead. There is a really chossy mixed line up between 2 pillars, and the ice routes go from WI 3- to short, stout, slightly overhanging, WI 4 or so. |

Directions: | Take Harlow street West out of Downtown Bangor across the bridge (3/10th's of a mile or less) and the parking lot is on the right facing the river. The area is right across the street on the left. Don't park on the street if the lot isn't plowed, park in town. We've been climbing there for a few years, and it's been on the news a few times. There are private homes at the top of the cliff about 100 yards back, so be mindfull of that. It's cool to climb here for now, just park legitimatly and don't bring huge groups. |
