Ship's Prow
About Ship's Prow:
Longer routes than the rest of Rattesnake. Good climbing and crack lines, next to a big boulder. Includes a very old lead from the area, Ship's Prow. To get there, continue through the talus from the right end of the Playground, past the roof. Stay roughly parallel to Chickawbut Rd, which you can see to the right, and follow faint trails slightly left for 100-150 yards until you are underneath a small cliff. There are climbs here, but Ship's Prow is farther around to the right, at a clearing in the trail. You'll see the tiny prow, no doubt. Routes are ordered left to right. |
