About Upper Limits Rock Gym:



There is over 10,000 square feet of air conditioned climbing with a ceiling height of 35 feet; slab, vertical, cracks, overhangs, roofs, and bouldering are just some of the features included.

Lead routes, TRs, and bouldering aplenty! Lead routes include vertical, overhanging, roof climbing, with fixed draws, and fixed double anchors. TRs are on smooth-running indoor belays, and auto-belays are also set up on a few walls. Route difficulty runs from very easy routes with big jugs and slabs, to very difficult routes (slab, vertical, overhanging, roof), including some on just the artficial texture and features (no holds) of the walls. All kinds of holds are used for boulder problems and routes. Routes are changed usually just a few at a time, and are left in place usually for at least a couple of months. Boulder problems sprout up all the time.

A well-stocked pro shop is available for your climbing gear needs. Bathrooms, shower facility, lockers, and snack machines are also be available.

Open 7 days a week. There is plenty of free parking in the rear of the building.

Directions: Upper Limits is located to the west of and behind Union Station, reached from Market Street.

from the west: I-64 East to exit 38D (that's the 20th St. at Chestnut exit). Take a right at the first stop light, cross Market Street, and pass Union Station and the Drury Inn. Veer right after the Drury Inn, onto Clark, and make an immediate left onto 21st Street. You will see the gym straight ahead on your right.

from the east:- I-64 West to exit 39A; that's the Market Street exit. Take a right at the light (at Market Street), then an immediate right onto 21st St. Follow the the road around a curve then take the first right, and you will see the gym straight ahead on your right.
