About Spooner Crag:

Volcanic tuff that provides many pockets on overhanging routes and slabs. All bolted sport climbing that tends to be short but enjoyable.
Nearest town or city: Lake Tahoe
Directions: Turn on the side road at the Highway 50 and Highway 28 intersection. The side road leads to a parking lot that is at the base of a winter sledding hill. Before you get to the parking lot you will see a trail leading uphill. Park here and follow the trail for about two minutes. The crag is hidden in the trees.
