Tuckerman Ravine ofers excellent ski mountainering terrain. The walls of the ravine range from 30-55 degrees. The lower ravine is a good place to practice your self arrest skills, wich you should be profiecent in befor climbing the steeper upper sections. The ravine avalanches often, has rock/ice fall hazards, and cravases so caution is a must. |
