| You can only climb at the OU wall if you are the guest of a OU student and it will cost you 7.50 each visit. About the wall: The Outdoor Pursuits indoor climbing wall is located in the lobby of the Charles J. Ping Student Recreation Center. The wall is double sided and 36 feet tall by 13 feet wide, offering approximately 936 square feet of climbing area. The climbing wall is a state-of-the art design that combines integr al synthetic rock with more than 400 potential hand and foot holds. It is a EP panel system wall and the staff sets the routes on it. They will range from 5.7 to 5.12+ and are change every quarter. At any given time there is usually about 25 routes up on the wall. It is worth a visit if you are staying in athens, and is a okay place to stay in shape if you are looking at going to school at Ohio University. |
