Makeover Band
About Makeover Band:
Bring the big bros, the 70 meter rope and be ready for multi-pitch excursions. One of first truly tall walls even with an extra long rope and plenty of doubles and triples of the full range, rope drag, and crux prep (carrying bros for pitch 1 of em?) will have you thinking of breaking climbs into 2 pitches. With classics from OW's(off-widths) Extreme Makeover, undones- Ari's Dihedral to modern lines that require the full gambit of climbing techniques. |
Approach: | Heading past Guillotine, Dru's Cruise an extremely nasty gulley, with a series of downhill slides, and a drastic increase in cliff size, the makeover band gets big. The trail will travel directly below the band, where an opening and set of boulders indicate Makeover Band. The Dihedral and large ( could fit a car maybe?) ledge hosting the crux pitch for Extreme Makeover and Ari's is usually easily identifiable. Makeover does have a slightly moss first 15 ft, but the crack systems, ledges utilized for EM is obviously travelled and cleaned, while lines not cleaned in this region will still have quite a bit of loose rock and lichen (read:still lines to develop here...despite modern developments) |
Approach Time: | between 5 and 10 minutes past guillotine |

Access Issues: | No Bolts at Moolack if you develop, consider the local trend of leaving the easy 5.6,7 and .8 terrain low on the cliff mossy and untouched, if it is easily leadable for plausable leaders of the routes overall grade (i.e. a .10c route, a .10c leader should be able to handle mossy 5.7) |
