About Directions:
From Route 11, take Route 239 across the Susquehanna into Mocanaqua. follow 239 (main street) through the town and continue straight onto Lee Road/main st/ State Route 3004 (all the same road). Follow Lee Rd for approximately 4 miles where there will be a Grave yard. Parking for Squirrel is on right hand side right before the grave yard. |
Approach: | Cross the road and walk past the yellow car barrier onto the 4 wheeler path. walk about 100 ft and make the first left, it will still be a 4 wheeler path. After that you will need to keep an eye out for a trail that cuts off into the woods, its about a 3-5 min walk from the first left. It is a one person path but it is pretty well visible if your looking. The path will lead you throughout squirrel rocks from the very first overhang to the big cave at the far end |
