About Panther Rocks:
A great place to take a break if traveling on I80 to another PA climbing spot. It is located just past a rustic state park in Moshannon State Forest, great place for lunch and a break. Several large blocks with "walk to top" access. There is 1 bolt on top of three climbs for top roping. NO new bolting. Excellent flat bouldering wall on one block with numerous "ice cream scoop scars". Just across the road from a private camp and close to the road, so keep down the noise if the camp is occupied (its a nice older couple). DCNR does not wish people camping at the rocks, with their prox. to the road, so the area effectively closes at sunset. |

The road to your left will take you to the state park and pavillion area, from there you will need to take Cyrstal Springs Road to get to "Four Mile Road" just before the rocks. |
