About Tionesta Rocks:

Great bouldering blocks right along the North Country National Scenic Trail. It is adjacent to the Tionesta National Scenic/Research Area. A days worth of climbing, mostly bouldering a few shorter top ropes could be placed on top of a few blocks with access and firmly rooted hemlock. NO bolts, it is bordering the scenic area and is being researched for forest regeneration after the 1995 tornado, everything had been left as natural as possible and is monitored regularly, there would be serious consequences from the USFS for bolting at these rocks.
