About Ryans Boulders:
Massive steep boulders with problems ranging from V0- to V8. Ryan Lukas (a developer of many PA bouldering areas) discovered this unique and spectacular area. The rock is a diabase/grinitic combination, a cross between Emmaus and Govoners Stables/Haycock but with some granite. This rare type of granite is only found on this mountain range that extends from Allentown to Kutztown. Myself and Ryan are the only known climbers to visit this spot. The boulders range in height from 10 feet to 30 feet. |
