About Laurelville:
This area is located on Laurelville Mennonite Church Center's property. Climbing is allowed, you just need to stop in the office and let them know what you are doing. Lots of blocks, mostly bouldering here, but there are some top rope possibilities. I have climbed a few routes, but there are a lot of FA's to be had. Camping is available, so if you are looking for a place to crash for a few days this would be a great place to stop. I believe it's only $15 per site. |

Directions: | Take route 31 west from Donegal about 5miles. At the bottom of 3mile hill turn right at the stop light onto 982. Go about a half mile and make a right onto Mennonite Camp Road (Sach-n-O's will be on your right). Go about another half mile until you come to the camp's entrance. The first big building you will come to is the Dining Hall. Park here and walk across the lot to the office. If they have any questions just ask to talk to Mark. Grab a trail map in the office and head to the red trail. When you get to the fork in the red trail you can take either side, there are plenty of boulders on both. You are now in the Split Rock area. Just wander around and you're sure to find something to climb. There is also a pretty sweet (small) cave there too if you can find it. |
