About Wolf Rocks (Gallitzin SF):

A member of our club found this area. There are a large number of good boulders which should provide a good challenge. Not sure about any of the difficulties yet, but I'll post some as soon as I find out.
Nearest town or city: Windber
Directions: From Johnstown and west take Route 56 East through Windber. You will pass a sign that says entering Gallitzin State Forest. After a little less than a mile you will see a sign for the Babcock Picnic Area on the right, enter here. Park in the widest part of the parking area. You will find a small shelter which has a map of the state forest, directly to the left is the John P. Saylor trail (blazed orange) follow this trail for about a mile, Wolf Rocks are on the right. If you'd like a shorter hike drive about 1/2mile past Babcock picnic area and make the first right...go back this road about 1 mile and there will be another parking area on the right where the trail crosses, enter the trail on the opposite side of the road.
