About Obed--Lilly Bluff:
Lily Bluffs are a summer escape for Knoxville climbers. Several routes can be climbed in the rain, and the juggy, overhanging sandstone is friendly on the fingers. Most of the routes are in the 5.10-5.12 range. In winter, bring ice tools or a snorkel. *Note from Panyan* CBC at Wartbug is out of business! But you can find the climbing info from the US Forest Serice Obed Visitors Center at Wartburg (next to the post office in downtown). They have the book "Dixie Craggers Atlas" and other topo maps. Rangers will also also give you up-to-date information regarding parking and camping. |
