About Sheldon Rock Cave:
| This is the cave that the Overmountain Men used to store their gunpowder from the rain en route to their eventual victory over Major. Gen. Patrick Ferguson & his Loyalist force at Kings Mtn. in Oct. 1780. This is not a great boulder, but if your in the area its worth the time for the workout & for the tough moves, a great place to train in the rain. |
