Wire Wall
About Wire Wall:
This is the furthest upstream (as of spring 2002) wall in the Weir Dam section. From the 3rd & 4th class access from the campsite with the cabin, go upstream past the Solarium and the Arch. When you're at the base of the arch, and you look upstream at that first arete catching the morning sun, and you say "Oh my God! What a stunning climb!", and you see a tiny little climber in a bright red jacket onsighting it, you'll know that you have to climb Tomahawk - the classic on the Wire Wall. The wire wall is also notable because there is a big wire stretched across the canyon in this section, hence the name. |
