This cliff band is about 70 to 80 feet high and is composed of volcanic welded tuft. There are about 20 sport climbs developed on this crag with potential for several more. Although it is easily visible from the highway, it does require driving on a rough dirt road for a couple of miles and about 15 minutes of hiking to get to the base of the cliff band. The elevation is near 10,000 feet and the wall is southwest facing. Summer temperatures rarely exceed 80 degrees. This area was also known for a season as "Ravenscrag".
