About Smugglers Notch:

bouldering down low and right off the road. there are larger cliffs above. The state of vermont is coming up with a new management plan for this area as well as other sites where climbers play in vermont. The state is not necessarily climber friendly, and has made noises about severly restricting climbing in the past, so be on your best behavior!!
Nearest town or city: Stowe
Directions: From Interstate 89, get off at the Stowe exit. Turn to go to Stowe. In Stowe, take 108 N toward Jeffersonville. The Notch is at the top of the 'hill'. There are plenty of parking places during the week, but on weekends, it may be hard to find a spot if you arrive late in the morning, expecially during the fall when everyone comes to look at the colorfull leaves.
