Directions I-64 west to Clifton Forge. Take Exit 27 just before Clifton Merge onto US 60 East US 220 Business. Turn left onto US 220 South, it is about a mile before you see the Rainbow rock formations. The main climbing is on your side of the river it is broken into two sections, Gotham City Wall, and the fetish wall. There is climbing on the other side of the river, but it is private property and people are asked not to climb until permission has been obtained to do so. Parking can be done infront of the cliffs, but watch for tickets. There is a conservation trail up to the cliffs, but it is hairy hiking and belaying from up there. (By Howitzer) |
