About Western Pillars:
This is the ridgeline west of the Beginner Slab/The Cracks/South Slabs complex. Approach by hiking west down past the South Slab, then back uphill and left to the lowest (southernmost) crag of the Western Pillars ridge. Alternate approach: once down the wooden stairs along the Plunge Trail, turn right off the trail and bushwhack downhill along the eastern edge of the ridge. The routes are described from L to R on each crag, beginning with the lowest (southernmost) crag. |
