About The Rocks of Sharon:

THE GUIDE BOOK IS HERE!! For a comprehensive collection of the routes pick up a copy of the new Climbing the Rocks of Sharon guide book. Get your copy here.

Proceeds from the purchase of the guide go back the Dishman Hills Conservancy for additional conservation efforts around the Rocks of Sharon.

The Rocks of Sharon are a series of granite outcrops on the South side of Krell Hill (Tower Mountain), south of Spokane.

The weathered granite/quartzite pinnacles provide some of the best climbing in the Spokane area. The routes themselves tend to be on clean faces that follow natural lines and features. Although much work has gone into each of the routes to clean them and ensure the bolts are set in good rock, the rock is still friable and holds that look good can break free. Beware of pulling up on some flakes.

Most of the routes are bolted sport climbs and are well protected with a majority of the bolts having been installed since 2000.

There are a few routes that take natural protection and these have been left unbolted, or bolts have been installed up to the point that the rock will take natural protection - There are no routes that are intended for top roping.
