About Barboursville:
I have not been myself, but know that this place is climbable. You can hike to the top where a top rope anchor can be placed around a large boulder. It's quite small, but the only thing I know of within 20 minutes of Huntington. |
Nearest town or city: | Huntington |
Directions: | It is near the rear entrance to Barboursville park on 4H Camp rd. Coming from US 60 turn south onto Davis Creek rd (aka WV 10 alt). Turn left onto 4H Camp rd. Pass the 4H building and come to a dirt parking area on the right side of the road. You will see a very large boulder right beside the road. You should see the climbing area up hill from here |
