About Railroad Amphitheature:

From the balance rock parking lot, walk down the railroad tracks along the lake. This is the rock formation directly off of the tracks.
Approach: From South Shore parking lot follow path to the railroad tracks and follow tracks North. After about 1/3 mile you will pass a large fence to the right. The RR amphitheater is located about 150 feet beyond this fence. Scramble up over sharp boulders into a cozy bowl that provides enough room for three or four groups to share. Climber paths to the top are located about 50 feet to each side of the entrance from the RR tracks.
