About Slow Turning Area:
| About one and a half miles from the Ishawooa Mesa Trailhead. Park on the right side of the road, well out of the way. The first pitches of Slow Turning (Stringer) are in a deep slot canyon. |
| Approach: | Park well off the road, then start hiking up toward the slot canyon. I find it better to hike up the prairie, rather than dive into the drainage. when you start to see the drainage get deeper, that is usually the start of the ice, dive in, and start ice walking. |
