| Cerro El Plomo is the highest mountain in the immediate vecinity of Santiago, glaciers grace it's summit and provide for good ice climbing. Due to it's proximity to the city and easy access it is climbed very often and is a popular ice climbing destination as well as being atractive for alpine climbing. Incan mummies have been found trapped in the ice and on the summit so keep your eyes peeled when you climb it and you may make headlines! |
