Entering Comayagua from Soto Cano, make a right on a dirt road just after a small river and several hundred yards past a gas station. Maybe 5 miles from soto cano. Make another 90 degree right about 100 yards down the road and head back toward the river, paralleling the main road. The road will turn 90 degrees left at the river and head toward the mountains. After about 1 mile, there is a T intersection (this road can be taken from town center). Make another right here, cross the river (bridge) and head up, always following the main road. Go about 7-8 miles and parallel another river drainage. You can hear a 30 ft water fall down in the canyon. The Love Shack is the nice looking cliff on the other side. After a long steep hill, and a shorter flat section, there is a trail on the right with a crude gate. Park and head right. Go down the drainage, cross the river on logs, and go up the other side, making a right at the T. Hike through a yard past a home (area named for the home)--bring the kids a gift--and through bananas and palms. Hike through the edge of the cleared area, and then through the far woods for a hundred yards or so. It is possible to rappel off trees to the base, or walk around the left side to the base. Stupid third World Tricks is the dirty crack low, with nice hands starting at about 35 ft. |
