The thieves made off with the climbers equipment while they were ascending, having left their backpacks at the base. There are presently no reports of who the suspects may be, though a group of teenagers were seen in the vicinity at the approximate time of the thefts.
A cash reward is offered for any information that will lead to an arrest, the number to call is: (303) 441-3650

One of the few places I've been to where people will actually leave your gear alone is Japan. At least they have respect for fellow climbers and their belongings. |

Wow, Who leaves $5000 worth of stuff in backpacks at the base of climbs? I know I am usually carrying all the expensive stuff with me when I am "ascending" |

you better watch your gear at vedauwoo, too. i caught some real grease balls trying to make off with my gear and they seemed rather up set that they were caught red handed. we got some close up pictures of them and iam tempted to post them on the site just so all can get a gander at these little pendejo suckers. |
