In six weeks, on 10 and 11 August 2012, seventy of the world's best bouldering and sports climbing athletes - 30 women and 40 men from 20 different countries - meet in Stuttgart's Porsche-Arena to compete for the prestigious adidas ROCKSTARS title while being heated up by live music.

The start list reads like the who's who in bouldering: the field includes last year's ROCKSTARS winner and Boulder World Champion 2007/2011 Dmitry Sharafutdinov (RUS), the two time overall Boulder World Cup winner Akiyo Noguchi (JAP), the current leader of the Boulder World Cup Rustam Gelmanov (RUS), the reigning Climbing World Champion Combined Sasha DiGiulian (USA), the six time American Boulder Champion Alex Puccio (USA), shooting star Shauna Coxsey (GBR), currently second in the World Cup overall ranking, the French Champion 2010 and fourth in the 2011 World Cup overall Mélissa Le Nevé (FRA), Guillaume Glairon Mondet (FRA) who is currently fourth in the IFSC world ranking, the American Boulder Champion 2011 Alex David Johnson (USA), as well as the top German bouldering athletes Juliane Wurm (German Champion, European Silver Medallist 2010, 3rd BCW Vail 2012), Jonas Baumann (1st BWC Vail 2009), Jan Hojer (3rd BWC Vail 2012) and Mathias Conrad (7th BWC Sheffield 2011).

The level of performance in the Boulder World Cup has rarely been higher than this year, so the spectators can look forward to a thrilling competition. The event starts already on Friday afternoon with the qualification round of the pro athletes. On that day the admission to the Porsche-Arena is free. Only the best 20 men and women will advance to the semifinal.

On Friday evening, talented and ambitious amateur athletes have the chance to grab a wildcard for the adidas ROCKSTARS pro competition. The winners will compete side by side with stars of the bouldering community for a place in the final.

Those who would like to participate in the GORE-TEX Be a Rockstar amateur contest shoulder register online at adidas-rockstars.com in due time, as participation is limited to 100 entrants.

On Saturday, the visitors of the top-class boulder competition will be entertained with a varied 10-hour climbing and music programme. Some of the world's best human beatboxers, including Stuttgart-born Robeat, will perform during the GORE-TEX Be a Rockstar final. Afterwards the Austrian newcomer band The Beth Edges will put the spectators in the right mood for the grand finale, which will be accompanied by the Swiss rock band Sideburn. After the awards the evening will be concluded with the Myspace Music Battle: Band vs. Beatboxer vs. DJ.

Tickets for Saturday cost 10 Euros (standing room) or 12 Euros (seat) and are available under Easyticket.de.

Children ages 6 to 11 are free, teenager ages 12 to 17 receive a discount on admission. Members of the German Alpine Association also get a reduction.
