This is very unfortunate, a great loss for many. My boss told me about the accident after getting back from climbing this past weekend. My job is right down the street from Poko and I climb there a lot. If anyone has any details we can learn from I would like to know them.

Judging simply by the distance he fell, I'm guessing he might have rapped off the ends of his rope. The cliff is about 400 ft. tall. Very sad how many accidents occur when rappelling.
