10kN is less than most other cams which are 12-14kN depending upon cam and size but 10kN is what most larger sized stoppers are rated at. However, I once remember a quote by Chris Harmston the former Quality Assurance Manager for Black Diamond Equipment where he said that he never saw a 10kN stopper ever fail (break) in the field. (I'm going to search to see if I can find the exact source of that quote.) I guess that if real world forces are such that a 10kN stopper is unlikely to fail, I would think the same applies to cams. Edit: I didn't specifically answer your question. A lot of the recommendations that you will get are based soley on personal preferences. Go to a good gear shop and play around with all the gear or borrow a friends gear. See what you feel comfortable with.
