All these guys are local guides, and they all are AMGA certified and TPWD certified as well. Scott set many routes in ERock back in the 80s and cowrote the book, The Dome Driver Manual, which is out-of-print and worth a fortune.
Birddog has set some new routes at Erock and is a stickler to safety and fun.
I met James at the Granite Gripper and he seems like a knowledgeable guy.
All these guys' clients seem to have fun. Prices do vary, I do not like one over the other. Like all people, they are very different at their approaches to climbing, but overall they are safe.
