The second one is helium. Not temp regulated. 1/8 the diameter.

That isn't exactly what I remember. Decades ago I remember seeing a Pop Mech article about a true "hopper" that didn't give sustained airtime but extended a leap hugely and used helium so the envelope was on the order of a couple yards. It was a cover

I think this sounds like a dogcrazy kind of fun, making 50 foot leaps across the hillsides and leaping into ravines. Windy days might be a gas.
