In reply to: speaking of bouldering, when is the v.e. a.b.s. comp? We have our ABS comp every February. Yeh, I've only been to Unlikely twice. It wasn't that great... :? It's a shorter drive to Clarksville and Dawson for me and about the same to Draper's or Jackson. I try and not waiste too much time on Indiana rock climbing anymore. later, Andy

I am just a humble man trying to work this machine... In all seriousness though, it is an accident... it is because I moderate this forum. Instead of hitting Quote, I keep hitting Edit. I don't ever catch myself because in the two posts of yours I have edited you had already quoted somebody... so it looked like I was just quoting you. Weird, I know... I'll just stop quoting you.

Alright fellas (and ladies if yer out there), I am off to Colorado until August 10th, and busy with work until the 16th. I know, tough life, huh? Anyway, I am spectacularly ready to hit the Red, and I have made it my goal to tick a couple of climbs in Table Rock, NC. I will get a couple of weeks off when I get back. Any takers on any type of trip? I plan to camp and climb for most of the two weeks, just looking for anyone crazy enough to tag along or meet up with me. I'd also be open to any other trips if someone has something in mind. The NC stuff is multi-pitch trad, I'm sticking to the easy end of things. Sam

A crew from VX will be going to Linville Gorge in early November... I'm trying to go then. Also, Shank and I are planning a trip to N.C., hopefully sooner than that. Maybe we can carpool, climb, camp, drink together? later, Andy

Hi everyone, I'm kinda new to the posting board. I just went to the Red for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was pretty fun. My boyfriend is actually going down from Aug. 8-13. Our friend Ben is going with him and they like to eat at Miguels. If anyone is going to be there during that week, let me know and I can tell my boyfriend. Oh, and does anyone go climb at the Red in the winter?

Oh, and does anyone go climb at the Red in the winter? welcome megan... i am hoping to go down to the red, for just the day, on the 11th. Ask your boyfriend what his plans are... and yes, i do climb at the red in the winter. not that much because it gets in the way of the ice climbing. it's easy to chase the sun and once your hands go numb it's alllllll goooood... regards r.r.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone from here has ever been out to Colorado or Joshua Tree before. My boyfriend and I want to eventually head out that way and I wanted to know if any of you had been there before or could give us advice. Thanks :-D

Thanks :-D i haven't climbed at joshua tree, but i have climbed in colorado (not the entire state, though  ). going to shelf road and garden of the gods next month with a former hoosier -- greenspace. shelf is a sport area. of the half dozen routes i did there 5 years back, it seems the ratings are a bit softer than the red. colorado also has great ice climbing. it has a little bit of everything. good luck. hope to see you at the red sometime soon r.r.

Hey guys....back again in Indiana. I already miss Colorado. Ron, when are you heading out? I have some time off coming up and would love to try out Shelf. I have played a little at Garden of the Gods, but it is mostly trad isn't it? I got to climb Mount of the Holy Cross while I was out there, and a little multi-pitch trad solo in Eleven-Mile Canyon. It was a great time. I posted a couple of pics, more will be out soon.
