cracklover wrote: If there's somewhere to host it, you bet! Actually, even if not, how 'bout just one of the campsites, like the place by the river right across from the parking lot. Or there's also really nice camping in the (state?) forest. Anyway, yeah, I'm in so long as it's Summer. Come Fall, I may have moved out west. GO yer moovin? Where to? I'm around the first three weeks of June, then it's the road for me.

Yes sir. Same name. We should get together and climb. I plan on making multiple trips to rumney or north conway this spring. Or gimme a yell anytime you down in the CT/Gunks area.

I've heard about the Conn climbs, old school all the way. I just might take you up on the offer. Have you been to Farley's ledge? I have family in the area and could spend time there. When you plan on being in NH ... Do Let Me Know!

There has been some interest on this event, but no suggestions as to where it should take place. We have two schools here. One would keep us in and around Rumney, each renting their own site a one campground, keep the crew together. Notch (Mat) mentioned that there is a campground where we could get a group discount. the only concern that I personally have are for those who like to stay up late. There may be a "quite time" to observe. Then there is Colleen and Jim's. As you know, it is a little drive (20 minutes) from Rumney, in the middle of nowhere. Before I commit, I need to understand what the undertaking will be. Any other thoughts???

I'm cool for either. I don't know what the event was last year, so I'm down for whatever. side note: Farley is sick. I've only been there once, but I loved it. We'll go for sure some time. I need to go reclaim my dignity; it's 3 bolts up on some 11.

I've only been through the caves at Farley and only had seen one time climbers on the walls. This was back in the late 70's and early 80's. I'm really glad that they have opened it to the public and have to get there! I have family both in Greenfield and Athol with more then enough space to pitch a tent. Gotta set a time this summer. Since you've been there, you can show me around!

I have already spoken to Colleen and she would be more then happy to have everyone again, as long as I set aside space for the heavier vehicles ... BUT ... the spraying for ticks will not happen this year. The fields are known to have many ticks, so be forewarned when choosing to camp here.

Let's see... last year my dog died suddenly and I had to rush home. The year before last it was a monsoon for the entire weekend and it took more than a week for the field to dry out and allow me to pull my camper out. So, like yea.... I'M IN!!!! I enjoyed camping at Colleens. But man, those ticks are really big and hungry. I might be prone to the campsite across from Rumney. That place with the cool donkey. I vote for any weekend in June with 6/27-6/29 being my first vote.

Count me in - rain or no rain - because there's always pizza, pool and beer at Plymouth House of Pizza. I'm fine with staying wherever. The Camara's place across the street is nice and cheap, and they were hurting for business last that I heard.

Last I knew the place across the street was hesitant about a largeish size group like us. That may have changed? especially with Ruckus in our name! With gas prices it might be worth it to pay for camping closer to the crags.

Last time we were there it was a ghost town and the Camara's were wondering why business had tapered off. They are a little quirky, but really nice folks. If we all show up without calling ourselves a 'ruckus' I'd bet they'd be happy to see us!

Is that donkey going to be making noise all night? I guess it can't be worse than bill's snoring. Or was it Eric?

Does anyone have the contact info for folks that own the campground across from the crags? I'd be happy to give them a call and check in with them. Jake, you gonna bring your pool stick this year?
