I dont know this guy, but he seems more like a sneaky tubby redneck than a climber. What a shame. Sad...sad day. Plus its f-in raining.

Yep.. happened to me. tent, sleeping bag, camp pad, gone in squamish. But this is the 3rd time i've posted this. SO maybe it's time to let it go. :)

You know, what might have been good is for the thief and his wife to have been outed publicly, instead of burying a vague, no-names mention of the thefts in the end of the New Rendezvous summary post, just for the sake of "keeping it positive". It's great to have a sunny, fuzzy feelgood outlook on life (or so I hear), but gear thieves need to be identified, before giving them a fair trail and dragging them from Beckley to Fayetteville, preferably down a gravel road behind a big truck...
