Although many use the words "French Prusik" and "autoblock" interchangeably, I always understood autoblock in this context to be a "method". IOWs, a Prusik, French Prusik, klemheist, etc can all be used as "autoblocks". Though I admit I have been guilty of calling a French Prusik an autoblock.
I might be wrong. But, I post this happily secure in the knowledge that bearbreeder or marc801 will jump in and correct me.
