Sorry you're in deep with the hubby Sue. I arranged rides for my kids last week so I could climb and they mixed it up so Charlotte was stranded in downtown Laconia for 2 hours because neither friend picked her up. I felt like a horrible mother and was in a panic the whole way home and then when she wasn't there when I got home. Its so hard balancing parenting and having fun. But Mommies deserve some fun too! :?

JEEZ Its raining, pouring actually, and its sunny. So much for the sun drying out Rumney for us. We're getting hosed. We'll be searching in the morning for some dry rock. Any idea who's coming up yet Sue?

Damn straight we do!! So, do you have...ahem...a couple of extra ropes? I trust you read the saga of the soggy afternoon. Maybe Dave could load a rope or two in that new car of yours? Of course the sun is out now! but sounds like tomorrow will be beautiful..Will Jake be gracing me with his presence? sj

I have my new rope and then a lovely abused single line which we won't use. If Dave comes he has a good one and another that makes you not want to fall so I don't. He he. I'll try to get ahold of him in a little while. Eeks, lightening just cracked. Probably from the 2 fronts meshing, its getting very warm. Jake has a rope, so if he comes theres another. As long as we have a rope for every 2 people we'll all be happy. How much time are you going to have?

In reply to: I hang my rope on the shower rod... space out the coils so it will dry faster. takes a while though. and if you forget its there and start to take a shower, it will get wet again :) As for this weekend, I'll bring my double ropes and my single rope. Kathy has a single rope and I think T has a few... we should have more than enough Kevin I've got two singles and a set of doubles. I might be able to borrow another single, if we really need it - but I'd owe my partner big time. T

Hey All! Back from vacation - it was great to do what I wanted for 2 weeks (even if I only climbed the first weekend) Had a great time, but can't wait for the next one Anyway, y'all have been busy. It took me 2 days to catch up - almost 50 pages since May 14!! I hear climbing at QQ on Sat? I'm in. I would love to go to Rumney, but my brother and his girlfriend will be moving into my place Sat, so I need to stay close to home. Sue - I like the "Sir Wide" Chad - that's some respect, heh?

T, I think if you bring your ropes we'd be all set... I can't imagine we'd need more than 4 total. Edge... I'm flying into San Fran on June 29th. I'll be spending the weekend of the 4th at Tahoe, and hopefully climbing at Lover's Leap. After that we're heading to Yosemite for a week or so. I plan on climbing at least a couple days in Yosemite. My wife probably won't be doing much/any climbing, but I'll be meeting up with my friend out there for some routes. If you'd like to get together, shoot me a pm and I'll give you my cell phone number Kevin

Chris, I'll have till the usual time...3ish. This all depends on if my son stays home from school tomorrow.. I have already been given a pre-guilt trip by my husband if that happens so I may have to stay home...but as of now I am planning on definately sending him to school! sue

Hey Sue, You got him out into some fresh air which is good for him, and willingly by the sounds of it, definitely better than lounging in front of the boob tube all day too. Dose him up with some long term cold or allergy medicine if he's not too bad off and see if that helps. I hope you don't have to cancel. Dave and I are taking off climbing the first half of the week so I can't meet up with you again until next Thursday. Maybe I could bribe Jake with gas money if I get stood up by everyone tomorrow. LOL

Gas prices seem to be putting a dent in everyone's plans lately. It almost makes more sense to camp and get another day of climbing before heading home. Or there's always the infamous portaledge idea. My time is coming...

Gilly, Derek, and anybody else interested in QQ saturday, I will not be arriving until 2pm. won't have to leave until about 6 though. I may feel time limited enough to skip the leading and just top rope, but we'll see.

Hey Jake I have company tomorrow night so next week would work better if you want to come up then. I'll be back Wed. night and if the weather is good would like to climb Thurs and/or Fri in Rumney. Its not raining in Rumney right now and I hope that lasts for today. This rain is really getting on my nerves! Tomorrow Dave and I may end up in Conway for some trad climbing. Planning on finishing that hard 5.12 today so we can pull the red tags. I have to get my rear in gear and the thermos filled and be on my way. Hopefully you can get on it Saturday. I'd like to see you give it a whirl. Have a great day everyone. :)

OK Sue. I'm sorry you're sick now too. We're all getting our turn with a cold lately. I had a bad one starting last time we all climbed in Rumney. Hopefully next Thursday will work out. Take care :)

We have camping reservations in Tuolumne for July 12 and 13; I swear we got the last available reservations because when I tried to extend it by a couple nights an hour later all of the campgrounds were full. Anyway Meg and I hope to bag Cathedral Peak while there, and then our whole 6 person entourage will be heading to Tahoe for the next several days. Have fun in the Valley. It will likely be smokin' hot in there in July, so if you can't chase the shade then Tuolumne will be prime and just a couple hours drive away.

Dave, here's the weather from NOAA just now: Saturday. Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 60s. Light and variable winds. Becoming southeast around 10 mph in the afternoon. Saturday night and Sunday. Partly cloudy. Lows around 50. Highs 69 to 74. and from weather.com: Saturday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the low 50s. Sunday: Scattered thunderstorms. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s. I'm still thinking saturday would be the better day weatherwise, but I wouldn't mind moving QQ to sunday. maybe I'l go to CR sat instead. that'd make more sense considering the famobs I have BOTH days. I really wanna repeat that lead...let's keep our eyes on the weather. I think I could get Shane to come to QQ on sunday as well.

Rob, Gilly: I can do either day. I may be bringing my brother and his girlfriend (neither have climbed before), if they're interested. Time makes no difference. Rob - I'd love to trade leads with you on G wall. I'm itching to lead more, after my first lead at the Gunks (p2 of Red Pillar)

I can do laundry and P.O. on Sat. and could still climb both days. If that works , Sat. would be between 1 -2 pm . Anytime on Sun. Looks like all 3 of us would be leading at QQ, so early on Sun. would be better fo that. Whatcha think ?
