In reply to: We did the rope giveaway this morning, and # 0068 was the lucky winner. 8^) How would I know what my number is? I haven't received anything from you. Does that mean I'm not in any of the drawings? That'd kind of suck. GO

Contributions have really slowed down the past couple of days, which sucks... Let's all keep this moving forward! http://bachar.gr-outdoors.net

I received an email earlier today from a climber wanting to know how to make a donation in excess of $50... I responded accordingly. About 45 minutes ago, I received a typical canned email from PayPal stating that a donation had been made, yet when I quickly scanned it for the details to add to the website, I about hit the floor when I saw the donation was $500. I immediately called this person to personally thank him on behalf on the entire climbing community, and during our conversation, I discovered that he's a new climber that's only been at it for a little over a year. It turns out that he was in the Mammoth area climbing last week, and happened to catch the slide-show and fundraising event, and was so touched by the out pouring of love and support from the climbing community, that he felt compelled to donate what he was able... I also found out that he's currently tip-toeing into trad, so if anyone in the Bay area would like to "hook a brotha up" and take him under your wing, I would be happy to provide his contact info privately. Anyway, I just wanted to share! :righton: -Tim http://bachar.gr-outdoors.net

I just now received a phone call from a gentleman in regards to possibly converting a large sum from an NPO fund that he established. FWIW: He was talking in the $15,000 - $20,000 range...

Those are excellent news! I just wanted to check the site again, but I received a message which says 'Ooops... you are here by mistake! Accessing content by IP address is not allowed. Please type domain name instead.' (That's exactly what I did...) If you try to reach the mother-domain (www.gr-outdoors.com) it says 'Hosting Account Has Expired'. Maybe the traffic exceeded the free maximum? Greetz! Daniel

You plugged ".COM" when it should be ".NET" http://bachar.gr-outdoors.net (I just noticed that I screwed up the URL in the link at the top of this page -- FIXED NOW)
