Quote: phaedrus, where do you go in morrison. the black hole has some wicked sweet problems (helicopter, cytogrinder, mc twist, air jordan, etc...) if you know what your looking at. ------------------------------------------ According to Benningfield's "Colorado Bouldering" book, it's Morrison's South Side- the boulder field across the road from where you're talking about. Haven't tried the area you mentioned yet- maybe we could meet up and you could show me around sometime?

Quote: I vote the 11-13 or thereabouts. --------------------------------------------- Sounds good to me, too. First weekend of my spring break- I'm off on Friday afternoon... woohoo!... and it doesn't interfere with Moab.

eh, i think i may try to make this one. after the long, harsh (haha what a joke i'm climbing in january here!) winter i think i'm up for a trip. so, i'm a definite maybe, considering it's just a hop and a skip from utah and the time off work shouldn't be a big problem. i'd like to be there!

If anyone needs any information on Eleven Mile Canyon feel free to contact me. I wrote the rock-climbing guide to the area and have done a number of FA in the canyon. Eleven-Mile has a lot of variety, excellent bouldering, good campsites and a beautiful river than flows down the canyon. Good spot for a gathering of this type. There are also a number of excellent climbing areas within a hour drive of Eleven Mile. Shelf Road, Turkey Rocks, Sheep Nose, Helens Dome and nemerous other areas in the South Platte region are just a short drive away. Bob

Hey Bob, Turkey is closed for the foreseeable future, right? Is Sheeps Nose affected by the same closure? How about the Helens Dome area? Thanks.

Well folks, you just heard from THE MAN! Bob D literally wrote the book on Elevenmile and most other areas, having put up some of the best routes in Colorado. Welcome to the board! Wow, with Bob D and John Gill, RC.com is quickly becoming the who's who of the Colorado rockclimbing world. Excellent choice on Elevenmile, it's one of my favorite places to climb. My only regret is that I'll be unable to attend. I've recently moved to Ohio (of all places ). Hope to make it to Seneca next month though, so maybe I'll see some of you guys there. Have fun. Mick

Well, when this first was proposed, I was all for it, and I still am, but as it turns out, the school where I work wants me to take some trainings through Colorado Mountain School, so I won't be there after all. :( Guess it's not completely bad since it's $1400 worth of training they're paying for. :)

I think someone needs to get on the ball and get this thing rolling! If not the organizer, then someone else who is nearby and knows the area. It's getting pretty close to meeting time, and I'll be coming up from the Phoenix area. It'd be nice to know what to plan for. Marilyn

We need to agree upon a designated area for "get together activities" (you know, night party, hot sex, streaking, strip poker...). That way we don't have 3 or 4 clusters of people in different areas hovered around a keg that are totally unaware that there are OTHER rc.commers in another area. It would SUCK to be there all weekend with 5 or 6 people thinking you are the only ones to show up only to find out later that you were 300 meters from a group of 30 people. Oh yeah, anyone in the Denver/Centennial area (and reasonable surrounding area) that needs a ride, let me know. I can take a couple.

atg200, you suck. Work is for suckazz!! We Coloradoans are such a bunch of slackers. Those dang Californians manage to organize a gathering every freakin' weekend it seems. I am still planning on going down there for the weekend. Lets do this.
