organic,
i don't mind cruising down a little late, as long as sportster is willing. I think it will be cool if the 4 of carpool/caravan down anyway. So I'll wait for you, no matter how long-that is sarcasm by the way............

First I need the money I have been out of work since July so working is good second it will be tough to find someone to cover since it is a friday. I will try though. I'll drive from indianapolis->Miguel's so you guys can sleep on the way. Plus we can sleep for a few hours when we get there so no real loss in the end. I'll keep everyone updated. Mowz, sportster what do you guys think?

Well, well, well. Here is an update to the Mowz/job saga, for those of you that are keeping up with this soap opera. I found a job and I'm waiting to hear back about another job. It gets sticky, so try to follow along.

I went to interview for the Galyans job yesterday and I got one. As of now, I'm the new Assistant manager of the climbing wall at the new Glenview store. So Erickaclimbstoo now gets, I think, $200 bonus if she fills out the paper work and only, stress only, if I stay there for at least six months.

I had an interview today with Lambent Tech. They make oils for many companies like Exxon, food companies, cosmetics, etc. I would be doing QC (quality control) work there. I want this job real bad because it's a foot in the door towards my career goals. It also pays 26 thousand a year. The Galyans job pays $9/hour. I wonder which one I want more.....

So here's the rub. If I don't get the QC job, I cannot (read: CANNOT) go to RRG because I will need to work during that weekend at Galyans. If I do get the QC job, I CAN (read: yippie!!) go to RRG.

Well, just like a real soap opera, I will, along with you peeps, find out tomorrow what the future will bring me.

No matter what, I am going to Jackson Falls with a lovely woman named Jenna before the 22nd. If any of you would like to come along let me know. If any of you can lend me a sleeping bag and a tent, let me know.

So, Organic, Greenspace, and Sportster I will let you know via a new post tomorrow whether I can go.

Jen, Pray for me please.

As the world turns........

If I get the QC job, I'll start Monday. I'm also interviewing for a job at Abbott today as well. Doesn't pay as much (13/Hr.) and it's further away. I hope I get that QC job.

I'll keep you peeps updated.

yeah I'm not heading to the lake this weekend, I don't want to drive out there and get rained out. I'll see you all next weekend at the gathering. If it rains then, we can get drunk in the rain.

My dear fellow Mid-westerners, for all of those that have been following my soap opera, I have news. I did not get the QC job nor the Abbott job. The Manager of quality control found someone who has years of experience and hired him instead. As for the Abbott job, my recruiter from the temp agency had mistakenly told me about the wrong job. My recruiter told me I would be interviewing for a position in research and development technician, but when I arrived I was informed that Abbott was offering no such position but I was to interview for a Labeling and Packaging position instead. What the heck? I'm not driving 45 minutes to do a job that a high school graduate can do, not to mention that I would be filling boxes for 8 hours during the graveyard shift.

Unbelievable.

Now that my incessant babbling is over with, I will provide you with the updated topics for this week.

Rocktoberfest: I will NOT be going. I must work during the weekend at the new Galyans. Side note, I'm the new Assistant manager of the rock wall at Galyans in Glenview. However, there are many people going including those I did not have the opportunity to meet from the last RRG trip. Greenspace, Sportster, Organic, Erickaclimbstoo, and all those who are going, have fun. Bring me back something cool but not virusy.

Southern IL: I am still going with Jenna. We will be going sometime between now and the 22nd. If you would like to join us, please PM me and we can make arrangements.

DL: It looks like DL did not happen this weekend due to rain. There will be more weekends and I doubt DL will be going anywhere soon.

Erickaclimbstoo: You have to fill out paperwork in order for you to get the $200 for referring me. It's called a referral form or something like it. Hope that I stay for 90 days. Can we split that green?

Orgainc: How is the Biology major treating you? Can you climb on Tues or Wed? Now that I have a job, I guess I can climb anytime for $5. Right Ericka?

Sportster and Greenspace: Any parties going on in Indy?

I hope this update finds all readers well and if there is anything substantial that I left out, feel free to bring it up. For example: types of beer to be brought to RRG.

Mowz, sorry to hear about your job situation.

DL this weekend. Who's still in? I'm planning on getting there Friday night and possibly doing some bouldering and then some drinking.

Rocktoberfest. I talked to Erica, and she suggested that we all get a cabin because Miguel's is going to be packed, what do you guys think?

I'm still in for the Lake this weekend.. what, and miss the gtg?! Never.. besides, looks like we won't have to deal with a weekend filled with constant rain. I'm still planning on getting up to the lake right around 6:00pm. If anyone is interested in bouldering that night to start the weekend off right, definitely let me know.. either in here or PM me.
I'm thinking we could all meet up at the CCC parking lot for a quick session up at Tombstone or something.
