In reply to: While the election has not truly been decided, as several midwestern states have not counted all votes, I have this to say: All of you dumbf*ck bible-thumping, redneck, anti-thought, anti-choice, blind followers should get your ass on the next plane to Fallujah if you believe in George Bush and what he stands for. You morons have been taken. Ever notice that the states where intelligent people live went for Kerry? I had hoped that Americans as a whole were smarter than this. I guess I was wrong. I too am depressed with the rhetoric swallowing fools that inhabit this place... America is in a downward spiral of stupid people making stupid choices making the people stupider.

In reply to: blah, blah, blah, blah....I'm a whinny loser who is thinking about moving to Canada, or France, or Algeria, or any socialist, pacifist country that will have me...blah, blah, blah Hey, go drink the Kool-aid they're serving up at the DNC headquarters tonight. It will ease your suffering.

It will ease your suffering. First of all, don't create bogus quotes and place my name on them. Aren't you a moderator? Maybe the others that run this site would be interested in knowing about that. Second, I'd expect nothing less from someone like yourself who'd vote for George Bush. Third, if you're such a patriot and apparent tough-guy, why are you piddling around on the internet instead of "serving our country" in Iraq? Fourth, from looking at your profile pic, maybe you should push back from the table once in a while and you'll actually end up completing a route. Edited to remove profanity.

I'll willingly go to fallujah, afghanistan, or any other sh*thole where my government sends me, and fight, kill or die to protect democracy and the rights of dumb bastards like you. Yes, I voted for bush. Feel free to call me a "Dumbf*ck bible-thumping, redneck, anti-thought, anti-choice, blind follower" all you want. I'll still do my job with pride. edited for spelling

My point is that I don't think it is right for our president to put your life on the line for oil interests or any other reason, other than the direct protection of this country from impending threats from hostile nations. If you still believe that Iraq was an imminent threat to the US after all that's been discovered, I don't know what to say. No WMDs, no links to Bin Laden, etc. The war in Iraq has nothing to do with "protecting democracy." I had hoped that the great majority of Americans would have chosen a leader that held the same high regard for your life.

In reply to: blah, blah, blah...more worthless drivel...blah, blah, blah Moderators are entitled to opinions, even to debate heated issues like this one. The quotes look accurate to me. We're not entitled to personally attack someone -- and neither are you. You know, your comments about going to Fallujah are funny. They've just been interviewing some soldiers in Fallujah (on CNN, nonetheless). They all voted for Bush. And what makes you think I haven't served or wouldn't gladly serve again if called upon?
In reply to: Fourth, from looking at your profile pic, maybe you should push back from the table once in a while and you'll actually end up completing a route. Man -- and those were the thin days. You sure know how to hurt a guy. I suppose a blow job is outta the question, then? Pass the donuts, please...and have another sip of that ju-ju. Ed

If you honestly believe that we have troops in afghanistan and iraq to protect our democracy and rights, then benpullin's assessment of your intellect was optimistic to say the least. We don't protect just your rights, we protect those who can't protect themselves. What's happening right now in afghanistan? Democratic Elections... Did that happen under the taliban? What are we setting up in Iraq? More democratic elections. Schools. Sanitation. Police Forces. All the stuff that the news doesn't report. Feel free to disagree with me. Hate me. Protest me. Burn the flag I protect. Write your senator and have him cut my pay. Read of all the 'atrocities' we commit in the New York times. Visit the Sean Penn website. I want you to.

And feel free to vote again in the next election for what you believe in. Hopefully you'll be able to accept defeat a little more graciously next time around. Ed

Are moderators entitled to libel? How about calling someone a "whinny(sic) loser"? Or a socialist? Most of the kids (and they are kids) in Iraq are young and scared. I wonder how many Senators and Congressmen pulled their sons and daughters out of prep school to send them over to Iraq?

Dude -- you started the attack. Can't take the retaliation? Feel free to PM an admin. Phil is an unbiased arbitrator and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you sort all this out.

In reply to: Are moderators entitled to libel? How about calling someone a "whinny(sic) loser"? Or a socialist? Actually, no. But mods are permitted to voice their opinions, just like you. And nobody said you were a socialist. There was mention of socialist countries, but if you can point to a post where a mod said "Benpullin is a socialist," then lemme know and I'll address it.
In reply to: Most of the kids (and they are kids) in Iraq are young and scared. I wonder how many Senators and Congressmen pulled their sons and daughters out of prep school to send them over to Iraq? And just when, exactly, does YOUR hitch of service in the military end? You've heard, I assume, of the old adage about glass houses and stones?
