Yeah, I agree, that 1 out of about every 50k people who step into a gym for the first time in any given year will eventually cross over and do remarkable trad climbing. These days cream rises through an enormously broad and shallow pyramidal body count compared to the old days. And for every one of those there are a couple of thousand hot, crushing sport climbers who can't make that particular crossing.
