AGAIN I'm in rainy Germany when I could be in sunny Italy.

Who isn't :D

Gym would be the second choice. Even - at the second glance - it would be my first... Those towers really are worst of both worlds: Leading eats up time, so you won't get a real workout, and still it's climbing on plastic...

Plus, there's always the sauna after the gym 8^)

Climbing sport on rock one day, first time this season, and one day of skiing. Not decided which activity which day yet or where.

Pictures will be coming

Since everybody is online... How was the weekend?
I'll abstain from reporting on my way to waste the precious livetime. Too boring...

Your turn!

Nothing much from my side, either:

Went to the movies last night: V for Vendetta. Nathalie Portman looks cute with my hairstyle:

P and I hit the gym on Saturday just in time for the 'bloc session' which means that apart from avoiding the small children and hoards of topless men, we also had to stand in line to get on anything... i.e., it was hell.

Sunday we went to Beez since it was actually 14° here and (cue miracle music) not raining :wtf: . Paolo made me go up a bunch of overhanging stuff. Some of the pockets had little puddles in them. But HEY - it was rock and it wasn't freezing :D

No pics... guess I'll have to pretend Chrturs are mine

Nathalie Portman... *drool*

V wasn't that bad. Not as good as Sin City or other comic picturizations, but quite entertaining. And Ms. Portman is true eye candy, with or without hair :D

Taz, 14° and dry is what I dream of... Sky looks like pea soup and it's just around 11 over here. Seems I gotta wait for Sardinia for outdoor climbing. Not too bad though, as I thought of giving my body a week of rest before I hit the limestone. Still feel like sh#t, might be overtraining or just the constant flu I got

Well Turin is quite famous about this from what I know, I tasted a lot of chocolate from all different local makers, it started on friday and will end next weekend. Thus the whole week the center is full with chocolate people :D

It is an easy skitrip to a place called Malamot in Valle di Susa, just on the border between Italy and France, there was a snowboarder among us.

Well the day was very hot with springsnow up to 2900 meters which is not very good for the snow. But now we need to go higher or wind nothfaces to get some proper snow, but there is a lot of snow in the mountains so the season will be nice and long I hope. Today it is more chilly again.

Hey guys,

What's everybody up to this weekend? Any good stuff?

P and I are headed to Arco to meet up with heiko, bellaitalia, michelebz and some others. :D All week I have been hearing:

Paolo: "Oh no, we are going to be very drunk on Saturday, isn't it? But I really want to do this route on Sunday!"

Taz: "Well you don't have to drink so much, P"

Paolo: "Carlo and Giovane and Sarah and Heiko... oh, no... I am going to pack a lot of aspirins. You will lead the slabs on Sunday tazzy, isn't it?"

Hi there!

Sounds like an awesome weekend for you gals/guys. Wish I could come!

Instead I'll be packing, unpacking, re-sorting, re-packing my stuff for Sardegna a couple of hundred times. I hate weight restrictions! I don''t even have a damn scale, so it's all crystal ball gazing...
I had it all under control before I started collecting those expensive adult toys like cams, hexes, biners and stuff... It bulks up a lot to the normal baggage :?

Paolo: Start early, drink fast, don't smoke too much and get to bed really early. Helps a lot :D In fact, the smoking part might be crucial. Haven't had a hangover since 3 weeks, guess why...

Paolo is still shocked by VDM granite slabs I think. Hey Paolino, limestone slabs DO have features, remember? :)

Daniel... :wtf:? You're going to Sardegna, you should be haaaaappyyyyyyyyyy! When you see the Garda Lake on your flight, think of us, all right?

Personally, I'm counting the days until the Int'l Climbing Team finally gets together again. In memory of the good old times:

:D Yay! Season has definitely started!

Paolo and I had a great weekend in Arco with bellaitalia, heiko, Giovane (in his panties), michelebz (+Gina) and a few others.

Saturday Paolo drug me up some 10-pitch monster with overhanging 6b shit. Heiko and bellaitalia got to watch me swinging around with a heavy backpack, swearing, cursing and thinking up new obscenities. Yeah, that was not so much fun.

Sunday was glorious! A fabulous 4-pitch climb, I lead the whole thing, my first multi-pitch 6b onsight. Fabulous :!: :D I am still basking in my own glory... :D :D :D

Heikino, tell about your stuff! :D

Sure Saturday was awesome! Demanding/scary, but mostly solid stuff, I'm also still glowing for pride, because I'm so surprised about my own leading... And bellaitalia lead that horrible slab with determination... holy sh|it.

On Sunday, Giovane was mentally strong as hell, he absolutely rocked on this grade VI alpine route that freaked me out considerably (and for good reason, b/c bellaitalia took a nice fall out of a traverse ... on a rusty piton... ). To my own shame I have to admit that, when I heard her handcold come off, what came to my mind was this:
"I'm on a totally sketchy little foothold, hands on a sloper, that piton's going to come out, so will the nut and the twig, and she's going to rip me off the traverse, that's going to be fvckin' ugly." But the piton held! She was fine, I was fine, the anchor was fine, Giovane was fine anyway, man that guy was solid that day!

The only bad thing was - as usual - that for all the climbing and bullshitting I didn't really have time to talk to my friends. You guys move to Itally, gddmmt!!!
