well.. Biners bouldering was frustrating... one of their main setters doesnt seem to believe in FEET especially right feet while moving right.. so you're always off balance and half falling over :P oh well.. hands got a work out.. THEN.. i got home and pulled the 2nd half of the wall up into position and it's bolted in solid now :) (pics in a bit)

Thanks Rob! Didn't see your invite until to late, but would have loved to come along. Hit the gym on Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend packing for our move to East Boston in two weeks. Hope you all had fun out there!

Actually, WW, that you missed the invite isn't a bad thing at all, since due to the prior evening's rain and the fact that it was warm and humid, and the crag was cold, everything was SOAKED. we still set up a couple climbs but it was a slimy, soggy struggle on abotu everything. I got a vid of me slipping off a hold and taking my partner for a ride (I outweigh her by 90lbs) we got de-motivated pretty quick and bailed for my appt and the grill afer only a couple hours. this coming weekend is looking much more climbing-friendly weatherwise, I'm hoping to get in a few leads at Purgatory.

This weekend will be Josh's Bday weekend, so we're headed to the gunks! I seem to have tweaked my rib cage on a reachy climb at Metro (well, what I thought was reachy!) on Saturday, so I'm hoping to be able to climb again by then. I hate the gym. It's the only place I ever get injured!

I'll have to bail out for the show at about 5.

wOOt... kate and i won tickets to the Nor Easter festival so we're going to that in 2 weeks.. hopefully do a few of the clinics and watch sharma, graham etc pull the shit out of the .14++'s at waimea Built a modular block to add onto the wall.. kinda like on rob's to add a few more angles and a bit of a relief from the steepness (if only to then put hard holds on it)

I'm going to test my Rumney skrillaz against Rifle this weekend. I'll report back stat. Thus far...WOW. Boulder Canyon, 5 minute drive, rad sport climbing. 20 minute drive to Eldo, amazing trad. 30 minute drive to Clear Creek...5x the size of rumney and better rock all around. Rifle this weekend and next...then Indian Creek for 2 weeks in October. I don't miss humid NE that much at the present moment.

Josh Yeah, happy b-day guys. have fun this weekend in the Gunks. I will very likely have never heard of any of the climbs you're going to get on, Josh (too damn hard for me!), but that just inspires me to climb harder. Please continue to send. I'm looking at the weather for Colorado Springs and seeing that they are in a period of stability. Here's hoping it holds for everyone.

Sweet! See you... ... then! In the meantime, enjoy the Gunks. This time through early November is such awesome Gunks sendage time, and so beautiful! Fortunately, it's pretty nice around here, too. Got my first "after work on east-coast time" sendage in yesterday. A four pitch route in Eldo called West Face of Bastille. Totally unlike anything East Coast. More like Red Rocks than anything else. A pleasant mix of cracks and face holds on mostly bomber sandstone. And what a view! This photo (not mine) is looking up from what I was looking down at. That's The Bastille on the right. Does that help provide enticement? And driving home at 7:45 there was zero traffic - from parking lot to front door in about 35 minutes. And in my little hybrid, it's under a gallon of gas, round trip! I think this Southeast Denver thing is going to work out after all! GO

[image]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Socjake/IMG_0640.jpg[/image] DO you have a waiver, yet? If not, let me help you write it. See my suggestions below. Jake nor Jake's mom or any parties held within the establisment of Jake's basment, inc. will not be held liable for (but not limited to) an 8-foot x 6-foot piece of plywood falling and causing bodily harm or possibly death, any users of said climbing wall falling in a bucket paint, and/or misuse of handtruck or wet/dry vac. Initial ________ User of Jake's basement. inc. will abide by all rules of this establishment, including (but not limited to), NOT raiding Jake's fridge (his mom will get pissed), wiping your dirty feet before entering, and not taking Jake's bike for a "joy ride." Initial ___________ Jake's basement, inc. encourages super sick sendage but please realize that you must abide by the following rules: THere will be NO topping out (for reasons quite obvious, but in case they are not, it's because you will fall over and land on the floor, you idiot!), Any user that comes over Jake's House and proceeds to boulder in their harness will indeed be made fun of, and Jake and certified Jake's basement, inc. route setters ONLY shall be allowed to set routes. Initial ____________

Josh that's awesome haha Jay the only issue with the roof is there is only 3-3.5 ft before a beam and metal poles. i'm not going to worry about it. especially since the whole thing will have to come down eventually and get moved :)
