I started working on this one night and lost interest.

If anyone makes this into a shirt, I'll buy it.

Basically it's a Free Tibet shirt that's got a topo of El Cap where the tibetan stuff normally goes and it says Free El Cap.

Here's my very rough draft.

Not an idea, but a comment.
The absolutely best climbing shirt I ever saw was on a soccer mom at a youth soccer game. She had on an Everest 1996 Expedition T-shirt.
I said, where did you get that? She said From my brother. I said, Who's your brother? Her answer...Ed Viesturs.
OMG.

Back side: Picture of a brain wearing a harness and tied in, "this is your brain on belay, any questions?"

I know! Our daughters went to the same school, were in soccer together. I run into her occasionally, get an Ed update from her.

My friend found a shirt at goodwill that has a silouette of a guy on an overhang on the front (doesn't look cheesy like usual), and on the back it just says "keep rising".

Just finished the rough version of the "Free El Cap" shirt... It's definitely going to get better then this, though.

Do people think it would be better without the dragon things, or with the dragon things holding el cap instead of the cup thing, or what

Here's another design I came up with, again a rough copy:

Should I bother making it? Would anyone get one?

I like it. I don't ever get on the frozen stuff so I wouldn't buy one, but I like it.

Ditch the rope...it detracts from the design.

The fair use act states that if an image is used as a parody t it's original form, it's fair use of the image and does not break the copyright. We'll see if I get by with it.

Okay. I was also considering making him standing on top of a mountain/ancient art or something like that, would that detract from it as well?

Ice climbers... how about something along the lines of
"adventure - a dish best served cold" with a pic of an ice climber?

Edit to add - or a super cheesy one "Because it's there" with a picture of a cool lookin' mountain?

how about
two stick people next to a cliff
stick 1 "why are we here, what's the meaning in all this... in life? did God create us for a purpose or are we just a product of natural selection?"
stick 2 "STFU AND CLIMB!!!"

I was also thinking of one taking the piss of those "Tap ouT" t shirts that said "Run ouT" I dunno if it'll work, though.

I was also thinking of a "oh shit, sudda brought doubles in red" line. One with someone taking a whip with a thought box saying it, one with someone trying to place a super tipped out green saying it etc.

After the first sin, to stop man getting bored, god created the rock, a playground of sorts, for man. Over time man forgot of the rock's original purpose and found it morre entertaining to throw the rock at others.

not very climbing related but
a picture of a chasm like hell with the caption
"Hell, the ultimate cave dive"
